The scent is INCREDIBLE!!!! And it detangles wonderfully. My only complaint is that I wish it were thicker. I applied them to my hair and WOW! My curls looked the best they have ever looked & and I have been natural for 3 YEARS!! This morning, because I wished the leave in were thicker, I applied some of my trusty MOP leave in on top of the Knot Today. Not a good move, my curls were ok, but not as nice as they were the previous night. Plus I had a lot of dripping! And I had no dripping at all last night. I can definitely tell that the Knot Today is meant to be used with your other products they really work great together. | SUBJECT: Kinky Curly I tried the products. After using the Knot Today and the Curling Custard, I noticed that my hair did maintain mositure. After I shampoo/condition my hair, it's normally very dry after the second day. However, my hair was still soft and felt mositurized. My hair is very kinky. Therefore, my hair strands coil up very tightly. Therefore, I didn't see any looseness of the coils. ( I know this was my first use). Perhaps, with continued use, the curl may loosen. Even if they don't, I do not plan to go back to a relaxer. I really love my Natural hair. If you have a mailing list, keep me on your list, or email me with new products update or information. | SUBJECT: THE BEST PRODUCT EVER! Of course i am always looking for a product to work on my natural hair and everything i used was garbage....i went to your site and i read the testimonials and i made a vow that this was the last product that i will ever try. if this didnt work i would just go back to my old regime and call it a day....let me say that my mouth is on the floor right now.... because i expected this product to fail and i was ready to toss it into the trash can......again my mouth is on the floor i bought the custard and the detangler...i washed my hair and applied the product and NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER have i been able to get a comb through my hair once it began to dry....For the first time since going natural have i began to see the natural length of my hair. Also it was SHINY....and i didn't have to use this oil or that oil....BUT i was still not convinced....i knew that once my hair dried it would all be over with so i just kept staring at my hair and it was gorgeous..I then took another section of hair and decided to do a shirley temple curl with my fingers....OMG it looks like i put a weave in my hair....it is that silky and curly....i am calling all of my friends as we speak.... because i cant believe what i am seeing.....i have thrown all of my products in the trash....and i will be placing another ORDER ASAP....I AM STILL IN SHOCK......i have never been one of those people to subscribe to that good hair, bad hair nonsense.....but i am sitting here looking like i GOT INDIAN IN MY FAMILY.....lol....i am in sock....... I've been meaning to write and tell you what I thought about the Curling Custard. Let me start off by saying I have never heard of Kinky-curly.com and really just stumbled across your site, while looking for natural hairstyles. When I found you site, I still had long relaxed hair in transition and was getting ready to do the "big chop". Well, 4th of July weekend, I just got fed up with my in-between hair and just started cutting it at random in the bathroom. I cut it down to a TWA (teeny-weeny afro). Two weeks later, I had it professionally re-cut. I think it was around that time that I ordered the Kinky-curly Curling Custard. Well, when it came in, I was so excited. Prior to using it, I was experimenting with different gels, conditioners and moisturizers. Some days I would get the look right. Other days it looked like whodunit! Well, since I started using the Curling Custard, Girl, it looks right every time!! I LOVE IT! A small amount goes a long way- don't over do it. The results in my hair have been defined curls that are not greasy (but if you use too much product they may be *sticky*) and a lasting style. I am growing my hair out so, I am not getting it trimmed up every two weeks and I can still say that my hair looks good after having cut it over a month ago. I don't have to pick it- I can finger style, it if I want. I know that if I use the Curling Custard, I am guaranteed to have a good hair day with my natural. And believe me, that's saying a lot, because I am a product junkie! I can't wait to see the results when my hair gets longer. I think if I would have had this product 5 years ago when I first tried a natural, I would have gotten through the transition phase and would have stayed away from relaxers for good. Yolanda SUBJECT: Follow Up Hi, I had emailed for advice several weeks ago with this product and wanted to pass along what worked for me. I have 2b/3a hair and wanted more volume and curls. You suggested not using a leave in which did help. However, lately I have been combing the product through my hair as I lean forward with a wide tooth shower comb, scrunching with a microfiber towel and diffusing dry. Combing it through has really increased the curls and volume. Alone or with a leave in. I have also been using Bumble and Bumble leave in with it and had great results. I know it’s expensive but it works wonderfully under it. The Curling Custard was the only product able to hold up to 90 degrees and 99% humidity in Ohio. I have been really impressed this summer! I read what you said in an interview, and fully agree with how you find a product you really like, and it is either reformulated (which is NEVER for the better) or discontinued. My hair is weighed down just enough to look awesome with no straggly hairs (it's clumped nicely) and feels very moisturized. I parted my hair in the center combed it to both sides and put this goo on my head....this is a style that is always a good test on my head, because when my hair is wet it lays flat and looks curly. With other products by the time it dries its a big round bush with a part in the center. Well long story short, I came upstairs did some work, was typing away on the computer when my youngest daughter walks in from day-camp and goes, MOMMY!!! I MISSED YOU!" (like she didn't just see me this morning) and gives me a kiss. I say "Good to see you, careful of the hair its still wet, how was camp?" She says, "Your hair isn't wet! Camp was great, be right back" So while she was gone, I put my hand in my hair....while I am waiting for it to dry and draw up....it didn't do that. It was exactly the way I had styled it, it was still flat, the curls were still there, its moist but not dry, it moves, and what's more....it's SHINY! I have tried every product with every conceivable promise written on it- trying to get this effect, and yours is the only one that does what it says. Usually I have to keep my hair wet to get this effect and use globs of very heavy gel, and by the time the gel starts to dry, I'm on my way home from a meeting and no one knew my hair was damp. Then of course, once it starts to dry, gel or not, it gets that big round shape again. hahaha Then came the real test, my mom walks in with my oldest daughter and my grandchild and they both asked me if I had got a relaxer, didn't believe me when I said no, and my grandson tried to play in my hair, he has never done that before. This is some great stuff, and it smells great. Expect your Cincinnati sales to go up because I am going to tell everyone I know about this stuff and they are going to buy their own supply because they are not getting a hold of mine.
